DESCRIPTION
Under the direction of AVP, Compensation and HRIS Systems, the Compensation Analyst is responsible for the salary administration, job evaluation process, market pricing analysis.
Consults with Management and Recruiters in determining appropriate new hire rates, promotional increases, and salary/market adjustments. Assist in the compensation design for base pay and commission plans. Assists in the implementation and administration of compensation policies and programs.
Maintains the position evaluation process; conducts primary evaluation of new/existing positions. Audits jobs for content and prepares job descriptions reflecting job responsibilities, activities, duties and requirements. Conducts 1st level of job evaluations to determine standardized grade assignments.
Maintains cyclic review process. Instructs and assists the HR business partners and departments in drafting position descriptions for newly created jobs or positions having significant changes in job content.
Conducts ad-hoc market analysis on selected positions; assists in the development of annual pay plan process to determine company's competitive position. Serves as the primary person in the participation of HR related and compensation surveys.
Provides data analysis and assist in driving HR decisions through the use of effective data, trending and productivity reports. Develops and maintains analysis models to accurately determine costs associated with HR programs. .
Represents human resources departments in positive, professional manner when working with associates and all levels of management. May participates in project teams.
Creates and supports an environment which fosters teamwork, cooperation, respect and diversity. Establishes and maintains positive communication and professional demeanor with Equity One employees and clients at all times. Demonstrates and supports commitment to corporate goals and mission.
REQUIREMENTS
? Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, flexible, multi-task oriented
? Analytical and verbal/written communication skills
? Ability to work well with others in a fast-paced, team environment
? Proven experience in performing complex spreadsheet analysis
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
? Bachelors Degree in Human Resources Management or Finance/Accounting
? Minimum 5 years Human Resources experience as a Compensation Analyst
? Strong technical proficiency in Excel and Access
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENT/SKILLS:
Certified Compensation Professional certification preferred
